A Bulk Payment is the process to send payments to many different people at one time.  And with Whistle it is easy!

This feature is only available to Payment Admins who have been given authority.  Contact your client success manager for information about permissions for bulk payments if not already set up for your account.

Process to send a bulk payment

  1. Select the payment admin button on the left side of the screen from the list of admin functions.
  2. Select Process a Payout File. It is a graphic tile on the center of the screen.

The Process a Payout File Modal will open.

If this is the first time using the bulk payment modal, you will see at the bottom of the screen a button to "Download the payout template"
This is a template that will organize information in a CSV format to make bulk payment processing easy. The form has five fields that need to be included.
    1. Business email
    2. Payout amount
    3. Employee ID
    4. First Name
    5. Last Name

  3. Select your budget and wallet category.  This determines the account you are sending money from and where it will show up in recipients' digital wallet on Whistle. The default is "general expenses" and if you have not already set up additional budgets you are good to go. But you do have options to set up additional budgets with rules to control how funds can be used. For example, you could send a wellness payment that could only be used at locations that align with a wellness program (gyms, exercise equipment stores, etc...)

  4. Add a note to help recipients understand why they are receiving the payment.

  5. Upload your CSV file with the information outlined above. Whistle will automatically check the files for errors and give you the opportunity to correct any mistakes with email format, etc... The system has no way to know if the amounts being sent are the right or wrong amount so be sure to double check your calculations before uploading the CSV file.

  6. Confirm and Send your payment. It's super easy and you can see any details of the payment through the dashboard and reporting tools in Whistle.
